Accessing Sera: System Requirements

This document outlines the hardware, software, and network requirements for using Sera’s platform. Meeting these requirements ensures optimal performance, security, and compatibility. 

Sera Mobile App (Technician App) 

Sera’s mobile application is designed for field technicians to manage jobs, capture service details, and communicate with customers in the field. 

Device Requirements 

  • Supported devices: Apple iPad only 
  • Operating system: iPadOS 16.0 or higher 
  • Recommended: iPad models released within the past 3 years 
  • Functionality: Devices must include a working camera, microphone, and GPS 

Network Requirements 

  • Connection: Stable Wi-Fi or cellular internet 
  • Minimum speed: 5 Mbps download / 1 Mbps upload per device 

Sera Admin Portal (Web-Based Application) 

The Sera Admin Portal is accessed via modern web browsers and provides tools for scheduling, dispatching, reporting, and customer management. 

Browser Requirements 

  • Recommended browser: Google Chrome (latest version) 
  • Note: Other modern browsers (e.g., Edge, Safari, Firefox) may work but are not formally supported 

Computer Recommendations 

  • Operating system: Windows 10 or newer, or macOS 12 or newer 
  • Display resolution: 1280×800 or higher 
  • Internet: Stable broadband connection (10+ Mbps recommended) 

Unsupported Environments 

Use of the following environments may result in degraded performance or unsupported behavior: 

  • Internet Explorer (all versions) 
  • Browsers more than one major version behind 
  • Operating systems no longer receiving security updates 
  • Virtual mobile environments or browser-based mobile emulators 

Best Practices 

To ensure a consistent experience across your team: 

  • Keep devices and operating systems up to date 
  • Use business-grade internet connections 
  • Enable device-level security (e.g., passcodes) 
  • Periodically clear browser cache if performance issues arise 

Future Platform Support 

Sera may expand platform support in future versions. Contact your account manager or support for roadmap updates. 

If Sera makes significant updates to these system requirements — such as deprecation of a supported platform or major compatibility changes — we will make reasonable efforts to notify affected accounts in advance. 

 

Note: Devices or environments that do not meet the above specifications may still function, but Sera cannot guarantee full functionality or provide technical support for unsupported configurations.
