Mobile App: Adding Equipment to a Job

Technicians can add or link equipment directly to a job to ensure accurate service documentation, future reference, and streamlined quoting or warranty processing.  This can be done from the Equipment tab within the Job Summary section. 

Tip: Adding equipment into the job will save it back to the customer's record to make it available on subsequent service appointments. 

How to Access Equipment on the Job

  1. Open the Job Summary for the current appointment
  2. Tap the Equipment tab to view all equipment associated with the service location for this job SCR-20250622-lfqu

How to Add Equipment to the Job/Address

  1. Tap + icon to add new equipment 
  2. Fill the field provided: 
    1. Equipment Name and Type selected will open additional fields depending on your company's setup:
      1. Manufacturer
      2. Manufacture Date
      3. Installation Date
      4. Model Number
      5. Serial Number
      6. Location
      7. Included Warranty
    2. Add any notes related to the equipment, if applicable
    3. Changes are saved automatically 

Tip: If Bluon is enabled in your account, you will see a Help line item for the model, if applicable.  There is also a calculated age field based off Installation Date entered within the component.

From the Equipment tab, tap on an existing item in either the Active or Archived header:

  1. Review and update any fields as needed
  2. Changes are saved automatically

Why Track Equipment

Keeping detailed equipment records helps:

  • Identify parts for service or replacement
  • Track installation dates and service history
  • Support warranty claims or third party integrations (such as Bluon)

Best Practices

  • Always double check model and serial numbers for accuracy
  • Use the notes field for location information that might need more explanation than the Location field, or other unique observations
  • Update equipment records during every major service or install
