Mobile App: Adding Notes to a Job

Job notes help technicians document visit-specific information like work performed, site conditions or customer communication.  These notes are tied to the specific job and can be shared internally or marked as visible to the customer. 

How to Access Job Notes 

  1. Open the Job Summary for the appointment
  2. Tap the Notes button to access the job-specific notes section SCR-20250622-lfqu

  1. Tap the + icon to add a new note
  2. Type your note in the text field
  3. Use the available options to:
    1. Pin the note to keep it at the top of the list
    2. Mark as visible to the customer if you want the note shared externally
  4. Tap Save to record the note

Managing Existing Notes

Once notes are added, you can perform several actions by tapping the note -or- by selecting the elipsis in the upper right corner:

  • Edit a note by tapping the note 
  • Delete 
  • Pin/Unpin
  • Toggle customer visibility on or off as needed

Tip: Only notes marked with 'Show to Customer' are shared externally.  All others remain internal view only.

Best Practices

  • Keep notes clear and professional especially if they are visible to the customer
  • Use pinned notes for job critical reminders or information others on the team may need
  • Update notes in real time to ensure the most accurate documentation
