Mobile App: Appointment Statuses

Appointment statuses help track the progress of each scheduled job.  Understanding each status ensures accurate job reporting, team coordination, and a smooth experience for both technicians and customers.

Appointment Status Definitions

Below are the appointment statuses you'll see throughout a job's lifecycle:

Pending

  • This is the default status for a new appointment.
  • The technician has not yet accepted the appointment, even though it has already been assigned to him.

Accepted

  • Indicates that the technician has accepted the appointment and can now begin any assigned Prework (if enabled in their account) or driving to the location.
  • Location sharing will be active once the technician starts driving depending on their app settings.

Running

  • The technician has arrived at the customer's location and has ended their driving trip.
  • This status signals that the work is in progress on site.

Completed

  • The technician has finished the work and swiped to End the Appointment.
  • Before ending the appointment, the technician should ensure all required and requested actions are completed, including obtaining a work completed signature, linking equipment, making notes, taking photos and any other checklist items.

Notes:

  • Some statuses may be automatically triggered by actions you take in the app (starting or ending a trip, etc.)
  • Always confirm with your company if there are required steps at each status, such as capturing photos, updating equipment, or obtaining signatures.
