Mobile App: Bluon

The Bluon integration allows technicians to connect equipment entered into a customer's record with Bluon's extensive HVAC database.  Once enabled in the technician's profile, this feature enhances equipment data entry by providing quick access to manuals, support information, part details and more through Bluon's trusted platform.

Enabling Bluon Integration

Once the integration is enabled from the Admin Portal for your company, technicians can control this setting directly from their profile in the Sera Mobile App:

  1. Open the Main Menu
  2. Tap the technician's icon to access the Technician Profile
  3. Locate the Bluon toggle.
  4. Switch it ON.

Once enabled, Bluon search functionality will be available when adding or editing equipment.

When entering new equipment into a customer's record:

  1. Navigate to the job or customer profile
  2. Tap Equipment, then Add Equipment.
  3. Enter the model number of the unit.
  4. If Bluon is enabled, the app will:
    1. Search Bluon's database in real-time after 3 characters are entered.
    2. Display matching equipment profiles.
    3. Allow you to link the equipment record to Bluon data.

Tapping the Bluon link opens the Bluon app, where you can access:

  • Installation and service manuals
  • Wiring diagrams
  • Part specifications and replacements 
  • Expert support content

To fully utilize this integration, technicians must:

  • Have the Bluon app installed on their device
  • Be logged into a Bluon account.

If you don't have the app, you'll be prompted to download it when attempting to access detailed data.

Why It Matters?

This integration streamlines equipment entry and ensures accurate data by referencing manufacturer specs.  It also gives techs a direct line to deep product knowledge and service documentation, reducing time spent searching for manuals or compatibility information.
