Mobile App: Ending Appointments

When you've completed your work at a job site, it's time to end the appointment in the Sera Mobile App.  This step finalizes the visit, ensures your time tracking is accurate, and helps your company collect all required job information. 

How to End the Appointment

  1. Navigate to Job Summary
    1. Open the appointment you're actively working on from the Job Summary Screen or the floating bar at the bottom
  2. Swipe to End
    1. To complete the appointment, swipe across the screen as indicated.  This action logs your end time and finalizes the job

  3. Watch for Warnings SCR-20250622-leoe
    1. Before the appointment is officially ended, the app may present a screen with a potential series of warnings.  These are your reminders to:
      1. Complete any designted "end of appointment" checks that your company may have set up in your Company Settings - these will appear within a box at the top of the screen
      2. Resolve Quote Statuses - Quotes left in Open or Draft statuses will present here for finalization.  You can move them to Denied or Archived depending on your company process.  If you do not adjust them, Draft quotes will go to Archive status automatically to keep the customer's potential quote queue clean
      3. Capture Invoice Signature - this work completed signature will signify to your customer and your company that the work for this appointment has been completed 
      4. Fulfill Equipment Requests - if your company has set up desired equipment to be linked to certain tasks you will see those notations on the invoice and you will receive a warning line about that attempting to end the appointment

Important Reminders

  • Ending the appointment is final within the Sera Mobile App - once completed, you may not be able to make edits to all pieces of the appointment, unless your office staff reopens the job
  • Some actions like submitting quotes, uploading photos, and recording payments will need to be completed before ending the appointment
  • Always double check that you have included everything your company requests before ending the appointment.  These might include updating quote statuses, linking equipment, or obtaining a signature from the customer.  

What Happens Next?

Once the Appointment is ended: 

  • Your time on the job is recorded within the job for proper Job Time Efficiency tracking
  • The appointment status is updated
  • Appropriate notifications are generated
  • Your next appointment will become available (if applicable)
