Mobile App: How do I enable location sharing?
The Sera Mobile App uses your device's location to support features like travel time tracking, route navigation, and job check ins. To ensure everything works as expected, location sharing must be enabled on your device.
iOS Devices (iPad or iPhone)
When prompted for the first time:
- Choose "Allow While Using the App" or "Always Allow" when the app asks for location access
To enable or update location settings manually:
- Open the Settings App
- Scroll down and select the Sera Mobile App
- Tap Location
- Select either "While Using the App" or "Always Allow".
- Toggle Precise Location ON to allow accurate location tracking.
Tip: If Location doesn't appear as an option, try uninstalling and reinstalling the app to rectify the issue.
Android Devices
When prompted the first time:
- Tap "Allow" when asked for location access while using the app
To enable or update location settings manually:
- Open your device's Settings
- Tap Apps or Applications
- Find and select the Technician App
- Tap Permissions --> Location
- Choose "Allow only while using the app" or "Allow all the time"
- Make sure location services are enabled globaly under Settings --> Location
Important Notes
- Location must be enabled for features like navigation and arrival time estimates to function.
- If the app isn't detecting your location, try restarting your device or toggling Airplane Mode off and back on

- Go to the Main Menu option from the floating bar at the bottom of the screen
- Select Report Issue
