Mobile App: How do I enable photo sharing?
In order to upload photos and documents in the Sera Mobile App, your device needs permission to access your photo library and camera. Follow the steps below to ensure photo sharing is properly enabled on your iOS or Android device.
iOS Devices (iPhone or iPad)
When prompted for the first time:
- Select Continue from the dialogue box - this will automatically direct you to your device's settings for photo sharing
- Tap "Allow Access to All Photos" or "Allow Full Access" when the permission dialog appears
- If you chose "Don't Allow" or "Select Photos", you may need to adjust settings manually
To enable photo access manually:
- Open the Settings app
- Scroll down and tap on the Sera Mobile App
- Tap Photos
- Select "All Photos"
- Tap Camera and ensure it's toggled ON if you want to take photos directly in the app
Tip: if you still can't upload photos or take photos using the camera, try closing and reopening the Sera Mobile App after you have updated permissions.
Android Devices
When prompted for the first time:
- Tap "Allow" when the app asks for permission to access Photos and Media and/or Camera
To enable photo access manually:
- Open your device's Settings
- Tap Apps or Applications, then find and select the Sera Mobile App
- Tap Permissions
- Enable permissions for:
- Photos and videos
- Camera
- (Optional) Files and media, depending on your Android version
Tip: Some Android devices may group media permissions under "Storage" or "Files and media"
Once these permissions are enabled, you'll be able to upload photos from your device, take new ones directly in the app, and review documents associated with the job. If you're still having trouble, please reach out to Support or use Report Issue directly from the app's main menu.
