Mobile App: How do I get directions to my appointment?
Need directions to your next job? The Sera Mobile App makes it easy to launch turn by turn navigation right from the Job Summary screen using supported maps app.
Getting Directions from the Job Summary
- Open your appointment
- From the floating bar, tap the appointment
- From the floating bar, tap the appointment
- Locate the Map
- At the top of the Job Summary screen, you will see a map of the service location
- Tap the Navigation button
- Tap the navigation icon directly on the map
- This will automatically open supported maps apps (Waze or Apple Maps on iOS, Google Maps on Android, etc)
- Tap the navigation icon directly on the map
- Start Navigation
- Follow the directions provided in your maps app to arrive at the customer's location.
The app will use the address listed on the appointment for the customer's service location and your current device location for directions, so double-check those locations before starting the route. Call your office staff if there are discrepancies.
Best Practices
- Make sure your device's location services are turned on
- Keep your maps app up to date for the most accurate routes
- If you use a different navigation app, such as Waze, please check for compatibility before removing the native app
Having trouble?
If the navigation button doesn't open your maps app:
- Restart the Sera Mobile App
- Confirm that location permissions are enabled for both the Sera Mobile App and the maps app in your device's settings
- Try launching maps manually and search the customer address as a backup
