Mobile App: JB Warranties
The JB Warranties integration allows technicians to sell extended warranties and link equipment directly from the technician app streamlining both the quoting process and post-installation warranty registration.
How It Works
With the Sera - JB Warranties integration enabled:
- Technicians can add warranties to quotes directly from the mobile app
- When equipment is entered and linked to the invoice, it can also be connected to a warranty during the invoice finalization process.
- This creates a seamless experience for both technicians and customers by ensuring warranty options are clearly presented and easy to purchase.
Adding a Warranty to a Quote
- From the quote builder, tap to add a warranty to the appropriate task.
- If the JB Warranties integration is active in their tenant account, eligible warranty options can be added to a quote similar to memberships.
- Select the warranty tier the customer prefers (e.g. 6 year, 10 year, etc.)
- The warranty cost will be included in the quote and reflected in the total.
Linking Equipment to JB Warranties
When adding new equipment to the customer's record:
- Enter the model number, serial number and any other applicable equipment information within the Equipment tab.
- From the Invoice, you will see Equipment requests links on the line items. Use those to link this equipment to the line items, including Warranty tasks.
- This will ensure that the equipment will be registered properly, and that the warranty can be validated and serviced.
Requirements
- This feature must be enabled from the Sera admin portal by the office.
- Only companies who are clients of JB Warranties will be able to enable the integration.
- Clients must load JB Warranties programs into their Sera account for sale on the quotes.
