Mobile App: Managing Quotes

The Quoting feature in the Sera mobile app empowers you to build professional, accurate quotes right from the field.  You can offer customers multiple solution tiers (Good, Better, Best), manage quote statuses, and present options for digital approval, or send via email for further review - all in just a few taps. How to access Quotes

From the Job Summary, tap Quotes

You will land on the quote overview screen where you can view, create, or manage all quotes associated with this job.  All quotes associated to the job including any open, draft or denied quotes for this address from prior jobs will be separated by status tabs.

Managing Quotes & Statuses

Each quote can have one of several statuses:

  • Draft: still in progress and not yet shown to the customer
  • Open: ready to present to the customer for approval
  • Approved: customer has selected this option
  • Denied: customer has rejected this option at this time but it is not off the table for future discussions
  • Archived: customer has rejected this option and it is not considered a valid option for the future, or was created in error and doesn't need to be presented to the customer
  • Voided: this quote was affiliated with a voided invoice

 You can update a status one of three ways:

  • Actions menu
    • Select the quote to edit and tap the Actions menu
    • Tap change status and select applicable options
    • To archive, select the Archive option

  • Tapping the Status pill
    • Select the quote to edit and tap the Status pill in the upper left-hand corner
    • Tap applicable option 
  • Select button on Quote status page
    • Tap the Select button on the Quote status page
    • Select the checkbox next to all applicable quotes and choose the change status icon from the floating bar
    • Tap applicable option

To email a quote: 

  • Select the quote to edit and tap the Actions menu
  • Tap Send via Email
    • Primary emails from the customer's record and emails from the customer's address record will be pre-populated here and any additional emails can be manually added by selecting the +Add Email button before tapping the Send Email button.

You can also email quotes using the Select button on the Quote status page.  Choose the Select button, check all applicable quotes and tap the email icon.
