Mobile App: Researching Service History
Before starting a job or when troubleshooting onsite, it's helpful to review the customer's service history. The Sera Mobile App makes it easy to access everything you need from prior appointments, all in one place.
Where to Find Service History
You can access the full service history from two places:
- Job Summary - the main hub of the appointment that you are currently working
- Customer Search - found under Customers in the Main Menu by selecting the hamburger icon in the bottom floating bar
What's Included in Service History
The service history gives you access to previous job data including:
Past Appointments
View completed or in progress service calls to see when work was completed and what services were performed
Notes
Review technician or office notes left from previous visits to gain insight on recurring issues or customer preferences
Quotes & Invoices
Quickly view all previously proposed and accepted work. Invoices will show exactly what was billed and paid.
Tip: Any open, draft, or denied status quotes will appear on your open job for rehash and/or upsell opportunities with the customer.
Equipment
Check the details of installed equipment, including model, serial number, and service history.
Photos & Documents
See any pictures uploaded during past visits. This is helpful for visual references and warranty support. Documents from past appointments related to this same job will be available as well.
How to Research Effectively
- Open the Customer Profile by clicking the Customer button from the Job Summary or from the Customer Search under the Main Menu.
- Tap into the relevant tabs:
- Details
- Appointments
- Equipment
- Quotes
- Photos
- Notes
- Review the content chronologically or by issue.
Tip: Reviewing history before you arrive helps prepare you with context, which can improve efficiency and customer trust.
