Mobile App: My spell-check/Auto-correct is not working in the Mobile App

How to Check Your Device Keyboard Settings (iOS & Android)

If you're not seeing features like auto-capitalization, spell check, autocorrect, or text suggestions when typing in areas like Job Notes, it's possible your device's keyboard settings are turned off.

Follow the steps below to ensure these helpful typing tools are enabled on your mobile device.

iOS Devices (iPhone & iPad)

  • Open the Settings app
  • Scroll down and tap General
  • Tap Keyboard
  • Look for the following settings and make sure they are turned ON:
    • Auto-Capitalization
    • Auto-Correction
    • Check Spelling
    • Predictive (for suggestions)
  • Once toggled on, these features will work in most apps that support standard text input—including ours!

Android Devices (Steps may vary slightly by manufacturer)

  • Open the Settings app
  • Tap System (or General Management on some devices)
  • Tap Language & Input (or Keyboard settings)
  • Tap On-screen Keyboard, then select your active keyboard (e.g., Gboard, Samsung Keyboard)
  • Inside the keyboard settings, look for the following options and turn them ON:
    • Auto-Capitalization
    • Auto-Correction
    • Spell Check
    • Text Suggestions / Predictive Text

Still not working?

If you've confirmed these settings are enabled and you're still not seeing spellcheck or suggestions in the app, try the following:

  • Close and reopen the app
  • Restart your device
  • Update your mobile app to the latest version
