Mobile App: Tech App Pricing Adjustments
The Task Pricing Adjustments in the Technician App feature allows technicians to manually adjust the price of individual tasks when building quotes in the Sera Mobile App.
This setting must be enabled in the Admin Portal by your organization's admin team before it becomes available in the field.
Enabling Price Adjustments
Before technicians can make price changes, an admin must:
- Log into the Sera Admin Portal.
- Navigate to Company --> Settings --> Pricing/Finance
- Locate Task Pricing Adjustment in the Technician App
- Toggle the setting to ON.
- Save changes.
Once enabled, all technicians using the app will have access to the price adjustment option when creating or editing quotes.
Adjusting Task Pricing in the Technician App
After the feature is enabled:
- Open the Quote section within the job that you are working.
- Tap to add a new task -OR- swipe left to edit an existing task on the quote.
- You will see the Price field in the edit modal, which will contain the current price.
- Enter the new price you'd like to set for the task.
- Save the task to update the quote total.
Tip: Some organizations may have internal policies around price adjustments. Always check with your manager before applying discounts or price changes to ensure that there are no individual company limits.
What Gets Logged:
- Any price adjustments will be recorded in the Sold Line Items Report in the Sera Admin Portal for transparancy.
Best Practices:
- Use price adjustments thoughtfully to offer flexibility and close sales when needed.
- Avoid zeroing out or drastically discounting tasks without approval.
- Always present the final quote clearly to the customer, including any adjusted pricing.
