What's New & Improved

Forms & Checklists within Sera is LIVE!

We're excited to introduce a long-requested update: the ability to build your own forms and checklists directly in Sera.

Maintenance checklists, safety sign-offs, equipment inspections, photo requirements before a job can close. You build them once, Sera attaches them to the right jobs, your Technicians complete them in the field, and your Customer receives a finished PDF. No spreadsheets, no paper packets, and nothing that has to be built for you.

What's Included

Admins can:

  • Build a form in Company › Forms & Checklists, grouping questions into sections and dragging them into the order you want.
  • Choose from eleven question types: Status (Red / Yellow / Green), Yes / No / N/A, Single select, Multi select, Number, Text, Date, Checkbox, Star rating, Signature, and Photo.
  • Set the rules on every question: whether it is required, whether the Customer sees it on the finished report, and whether it needs photos, including how many.
  • Decide where each form belongs by Department and Service Category, or turn on Attach to every appointment for the ones that always apply.
  • Require a form to be completed before a job can be closed out.
  • Preview the Customer's PDF from inside the builder before publishing.
  • Review, amend, and archive completed forms from the Job and from the Customer's profile.

Technicians can:

  • Open the job in the Sera Mobile App, work down the Forms & Checklists list, and answer as they go. Everything saves as they work, so nothing is lost if they get pulled away mid-job.
  • Attach photos to any answer, either taking a new photo or picking one already on the job.
  • Capture a signature.

Customers receive:

  • A clean PDF of the completed checklist, filed on the job and sent the same way you already send invoices and quotes. Anything you marked as internal stays off it.
